ATTENTION 4TH – 8TH GRADE MARYLAND PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOL TEACHERS!

You are invited to bring your class to join more than 6,700 students from every county and the heritage areas in the State of Maryland and the City of Baltimore to help create the Bicentennial Living American Flag at Fort McHenry.

What You Need to do to Join us on September 9th!

  1. Contact www.events@friendsoffortmchenry.org to download details and application. This must be completed by May 12th.
  2. Prepare your students so they have an overall understanding of the history of Fort McHenry and the Battle of Baltimore using the lesson plans and Star-Spangled resources posted on www.friendsoffortmchenry.org. Pre-plan with your school district today to participate – make arrangements for this field trip soon. You will be notified late May with a confirmation.
    1. Attend a Q&A/Logistics & Resources Workshop/Call-in Webinar on Saturday, June 7th (9:30AM-12:30PM) 1-866-228-9900 Passcode: 826334#. Additional webinar will be scheduled but you must apply by 5/12
