This three-week summer institute, funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities, will introduce 25 K-12 school teachers to the history and culture of the Pueblo Indians. The institute takes place in Cortez, Colorado, with travel to a number of other locations in the Southwest. Bridging Cultures examines human culture and society in the context of what is one of the oldest persistent cultural groups on the continent: the Pueblo Indians of the American Southwest.
