The George Washington Teachers’ Institute is a residential teacher professional development program focused on the life and times of George Washington and his legacy. Participating teachers immerse themselves in the study and discussion of this critical period of American history and the remarkable role George Washington played in the founding of our nation. The institute is free of charge for Maryland teachers who are selected, and meals, residence on the Estate, and a travel stipend are provided. Application deadline is April 5.
