For teachers of High School Seniors: Two, 2-week non-credit social science courses are being offered at The George Washington University: “US Foreign Policy and Multilateralism” and “Principles of International Law.”
The courses run one right after the other, one for each 2-week summer session, with the first one starting on July 7, 2014. Students are housed on campus and then take afternoon field trips all over Washington DC to foreign embassies, government agencies and non-governmental organizations.
The classes are ideal for rising seniors who wish to see what life is like on the campus of one of DC’s major private institutions or who wish to experience Washington DC in general as a possible destination for college, and the courses introduce students to concepts that may lead to the discovery of a chosen field of study once in college.
