Applications are now being accepted for the Fall 2013 National Consortium for Teaching About Asia K-12 Seminar Program, “East Asia: Ancient Cultures & Global Economies.” The seminars will be held at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in Catonsville, MD on eight Saturday mornings from September 14 – December 21, 2013. The deadline for applications is 9/6/13. Enrollment in this no-cost program is capped at 20, so interested teachers are encouraged to apply early. Benefits for teachers include a stipend, texts, and a mini-grant to purchase resources for their schools.
