State Superintendent of Schools, Lillian Lowery Asked about Social Studies during House Briefing
State Superintendent of Schools, Lillian Lowery, was questioned extensively about Social Studies and Science during a briefing of the House Ways and Means Committee on Tuesday, December 11. Questions posed to Dr. Lowery were centered on when the results of the Maryland Social Studies survey will be released and how will social studies related data be displayed in school system’s master plans. Dr. Lowery stated that information related to both documents will be available soon, but was unable to give specific dates. The Maryland Council will keep members posted as new information becomes available.
